Blogging has helped me appreciate each and every new day

Day 153/ 365

Blogging is really helping me to think about my faults and imperfections on a daily basis. I am enjoying the process of daily reflections. It’s helping me learn a lot about myself and my goals. There is so much we can learn from each day but in order to do that we need to be able to actually stay with our thoughts to process the ways we can learn and grow from that days experience. Each day is unique and each day has something new to offer. Each day is a gift and I just want to remember to say my thanks, be grateful, reflect, set goals, share progress, share thoughts and experiences worth sharing from that day, set an intention for the next day so I can continuously make progress with my life’s journey – which was the whole purpose of my blog. I am grateful that things have really come together for me – in terms of my blog. It started with a simple thought. I wanted a blog. It was not an easy journey. In the beginning it took me SO much time to become comfortable with the idea that I could be one of those people who has a blog. I guess since I usually kept quiet and to myself and really did not feel comfortable or confident enough to actually share my thoughts on a public space like this – where anyone can be able to read what I am writing. I’ve always been a private person. I am not that social. And I wasn’t active on much social media platforms. And having a blog was always something I wanted (I still have so much more I want to do with it but since my work with my husband’s business is so demanding- that will wait for later but I am glad I have been able to atleast start with something). I made the thought come true by talking to some people that I wanted a blog. They encouraged it and asked about it. I shared the thought with my husband who was supportive. And so I took the first step (after thinking about what I wanted to call it) and created my blog on wordpress. And I did write some posts. It was on and off since my first post in March 2019. But for the past 2 months – I have been consistent with it and it’s become a habit and kind of a hobby and I am enjoying it very much. So as the month of October comes to an end, I just wanted to take some time to reflect on my journey and welcome the new month to a fresh start. Happy (almost) new month everyone!

Another thing I am grateful for (which blogging has helped with) is that I have learned to become more appreciative of every new day. It’s really helped me become better. I guess I’ve always been like this. Not for days, specifically. This is something new I have learned through blogging. But in the past, I always considered Monday’s (a new week) and a new month and of course a new year as a chance to start fresh which has always given me motivation to try to start over no matter how I messed up during the last week or month or year. This challenge has made me appreciate not only a new week or month and year, but every single day. The best thing about this 365 day challenge has been that one bad day doesn’t bring me down anymore because I am always grateful that I still have x amount of days left to become better, to do better, to be better. I always think about the fact that I still have so much time to make changes and progress. This has made me realize how great life can be if we give ourselves enough time to make progress. No comparing yourself to anyone else. No competition with anyone. No pressure. No deadline (not really). Just enough time. So here I am ready and looking forward to welcome the next month!
