Today was a good and positive day. As I spend more time blogging, I will come up with ways to make reflections easier and consistent for myself. I’m going to try a format that I tried earlier when I came up with a list of everything I would like to try and fit into my daily schedule.
- Wake up early: I woke up at 8:15 AM (this is not as early as I would like to wake up… my goal is more like 4:30-5 AM… but I am telling myself to take it one step at a time. In the past I used to let waking up late be a reason to bring myself down which made me feel bad for the rest of the day because if you don’t have a good start, its hard to have a good end… I didn’t do that today (although I was feeling inclined to do that). Instead, I took a deep breath and was kind to myself. I shifted my schedule to start work later and work till later in the evening so I’d still have time for some of the things I like to do in my morning
MeditationI didn’t have much time today but I don’t want that to ever stop me from taking out time to meditate. I was able to sit down for 10-15 minutes. Today’s meditation was incredible (for a couple minutes). I found myself completely focused with absolutely no thoughts for just a couple minutes but it was really powerful. It was just me and stillness. It was an incredible feeling. I can’t wait to continue my journey to meditation. Thinkright.me“I choose one value to guide my actions and decisions today”; The value of your values: Our values are meant to flow consistently in daily life – every time, with everyone. Take personal guarantee of holding on to your spectrum of values ALWAYS, not just when convenient. Choose One value and make a 24-hour commitment to using it to make decisions. WorkToday was a 7-7.5 hour work day… which I am okay with… I want all of my working days to be between 7-9 hours. Self-care & relaxationI feel like I took good enough care of myself today. FamilyI dropped by to my moms house after hot yoga and spent some time with her and my siblings 🙂 Blogworking on this right now Sleepwill probably be in bed before midnight Positivity & Productivityexcept for my mind feeling a bit sad thinking about something (just for a quick second), the rest of the day was positive, productive & peaceful. During the next 264 days, this is my goal: to keep my mind in positivity and control it from any thoughts which don’t make me happy. I know that I am holding onto so much. My body knows it. This challenge is about releasing everything that no longer serves me (a quote I’ve heard often enough during yoga). I don’t have all the answers on how I’ll do this but the goal is to find out. Find out what it is that I’m holding onto and finding a way to let it go so my soul can really be free.
another day down, 264 left to go 🙂
