New day, New month, New quarter, New home, New beginning

As I think about today, i realize that not only is it a new day and a new month, it’s also a new quarter – quarter 2 of 2020! Wow, it’s incredible that 1/4th of 2020 has already gone by. It’s a good realization to have because it makes me want to be that much more intentional with how I want to spend my time everyday. Each day adds up quickly to make a week, a month, a quarter, a year, a life.

Along with a new day, a new month and a new quarter, today is a chance of a new beginning for me. We are moving so it really feels like turning the page to a fresh new chapter in life. Yesterday, I took a few moments to reflect on the time that I spent in this home. A lot of memories and emotions came up as I sat in my living room looking around and trying to relive my journey in this home. It really feels like a chapter is closing. As I turn the page to start a new chapter, I have nothing but feelings of satisfaction and happiness of my time spent here.

I grew so much as a person. It was in this home that a lot of significant and positive change happened in my life. I developed a new positive way of thinking. I came up with jasdeeps journey. I came up with ideas on how to live life more healthily, happily and purposefully. It was here where I really began to give important to myself and all aspects of my health – physical, emotional, mental & spiritual. I am so happy for everything I’ve achieved and I am so looking forward to the next chapter.

As I end this chapter, I decided to take a few moments and look nowhere but internally to think about everything I want to do daily to feel happy and successful. I really needed to do this because after 31 days with the longer version of my routine, I kind of lost motivation with that. So I’ve come up with a condensed version, compared it to my longer version and realized it’s basically the same. It just gives more room for flexibility and feels easier to accomplish since it’s shorter. In no way am I currently following this routine consistently. This is something I want to work towards in my new home. Having this daily routine checklist helps me to focus on my goals and on bettering myself each day.

Everything I want to be able to do daily to feel happy and successful:

  • Meditation
  • Gratitude
  • Connect with Gurbani
  • Cook
  • Clean and organize
  • Walk
  • Yoga/ or Hot Yoga
  • Work/Business
  • Exercise
  • Time for basic personal upkeep
  • Time for mindful eating
  • Free time (time for outdoors/nature, time for blog, time with my family, time with my husband, etc.)
  • Sleep

Virtues to focus on daily

  • Positivity, happiness
  • Love, kindness
  • Forgiveness

I guess this is all for now. I have to go finish packing my stuff. I’ll tune back in from the new home šŸ™‚
